In short Yes!

Why? well, it gives an assurance to the Adjoining owners that we have a clear survey showing the condition of their property prior to works as that’s exactly how we want their building to look after the works – if any change/damage is caused then this is the best and easiest way to see what may have happened.

But it also protects the Building carrying out the works that an adjoining owner could not make any spurious claims for damage as any pre-existing defect/fault/damage would be noted in the Schedule of Condition survey prior to works.

So it is an invaluable part of the process giving assurance to both sides to minimise any issue in the future.

But contact a Party Wall Surveyor to firstly get the correct notices served the Schedule of Condition survey arranged
